* First Parish Priest of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish and the inspiration for the first and only Catholic School division that now includes the communities of Ardrossan, Camrose, Vegreville, Sherwood Park, and Fort Saskatchewan.
* Father Kearns was born on July 9th, 1929 in Montréal to Dr. & Mrs P.J. Kearns.
* He studied at St. Augustine's Seminary in Toronto and later at St. Joseph's Seminary in Edmonton.
* His Ordination took place on May 15th, 1955 at Ascension Church in Montréal by Bishop L.P. Whelan.
* He ministered at St. Patrick's Parish & St. Anthony's Parish in Edmonton before coming and ministering in Sherwood Park in 1960.
* Father Kearns passed away in a car accident in 1964 and is buried in Montréal.
